Healing Works

We have recently finished the development of an entirely new website for the Healing Works Health Center.  Built with WordPress, the leading open source CMS (content management software), this site is fully responsive and can be viewed properly on all smart phones, tablets and desk tops.

The WordPress CMS allows the health center staff to create their own content and update it as necessary.  In addition to text and images the site features videos of courses offered by the center.

Health Behavior Change Research Work-group

Health Behavior Change Research Work-group

Part of the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Hawai‘i at Mãnoa, it’s mission is to improve health and quality of life by conducting cutting edge research in multiple health behavior change science.

Scientific Objectives of the HBCR Workgroup:

  • To advance measurement of health behavior change
  • To advance theory and understanding of health behavior change mechanisms
  • To develop, test and disseminate health behavior change interventions

Developed with Joomla CMS, the HBCR site allows work group members to maintain and edit the status of their various research projects as well as promote awareness of their mission and community events.

This is a fully responsive design that adapts the content display to the size of the screen the viewer is using. The home page features a slide show that rotates 4 independent sets of images. This slide show is eliminated in the phone version to reduce the bandwidth required. In addition, the design alters font sizes and navigation elements to increase usability on the smaller screen sizes.

Kean Foundation

Keane Foundation

Keane Foundation

The Richard M. Keane Foundation was established to create a 9/11 Memorial Sports Center in the Wethersfield community. Richard Keane and two other Wethersfield men died in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001. A Sports Center in their memory is a positive and wonderful way to commemorate life’s happy events, as well as to remember lives lost.

The purpose of the Foundation in collaboration with the Town of Wethersfield, is to provide a safe and fun environment in which youth can come together to participate in athletic, academic, and social programs with the support and guidance of caring adults.

We refreshed and updated the original website for this very active community organization.

The new HTML5/CSS3 design is a short term solution that allowed the foundation to provide current information to the community and volunteers during their busy enrollment period.

We are currently developing an entirely new website for the foundation utilizing Joomla CMS (content management software). This will allow their staff and volunteers to update and manage their website on their own directly through a browser.
